Thanks for the reply, it was Brittany ferries. I booked 20 jan for14 mar. Cancelled 3/4 feb. T & C state I have to give 46(I think) days notice. I asked for a refund onto my credit card and said I didn't want a travel voucher as I didn't know if I would use it. I asked for confirmation of the cancellation which I haven't received, even though I ...

But Direct Ferries is insisting on giving me a voucher instead of a refund. A voucher is valueless to me because the restrictions that come with it mean that I can't use it, so I can't help them out by taking one. And it is crystal clear that I am owed a refund since that is what was advertised. In one of their emails they said they have"retrospectively altered their terms and conditions" so ...

Direct ferries is refusing a refund even though we are in lock-down. Is it worth pursuing this with my travel insurance company or will I not be eligible for a refund given that it is a non-refundable ticket. I thought I would check here before contacting the travel insurance company as they must be completely inundated with customers in more urgent situations. Direct ferries said that the ...

I had no choice other than booking a new ticket directly through StenaLine website and paid £200. So, I’ve booked a new ticket and went to the funeral. After the funeral I’ve sent to Direct Ferries a copy of death certificate to show them that I had to go to the funeral and this was the reason why I needed to cancel my booking. After ...

I did notice the various websites that came up with very bad reviews for direct ferries and started to get worried. I logged back on to direct ferries and next to the crossing it said I could cancel for a £10 cancellation fee so I clicked on ‘cancel this booking’ next to the booking details. It then said that all refunds would be paid ...

Direct Ferries is just an agent, the contract was with P & O Ferries who have since announced they are closing the route. It all depends on whether P & O were refusing refunds or not and the agent decided to issue the voucher. Is it a P & O voucher or Direct Ferries? If P & O I would call them and say in view of the closure of the route you ...

If you book with Eurocamp the ferries are considerably cheaper than booking direct with Brittanny Ferries, particularly the long crossings. Last couple of years we've booked trips with Eurocamp the ferries have been about half price, so if you're going with them don't book the ferries direct, even with a discount code, which IIRC only gets you ...

Now Direct Ferries have emailed to state that they have infact cancelled our booking anyway! I've now heard awful stories of people not being refunded. There's no phone line, e mail communication is terrible and they aren't covered by ABTA. I just wish we hadn't emailed to check our ticket type and just got the ferry! We are now £400 down in an increasingly frustrating situation. What should ...

Online Ferries. Includes Isle of Man and Isle of Wight services but strictly speaking it's not a comparison site as you must check prices for each individual operator's route individually. Link: Online Ferries; Direct Ferries. Lets you know the operators for your planned journey but you need to check each individual operator separately.
